WESTport spline master gears are gear-form reference masters used to set, verify, and calibrate spline inspection equipment for both internal and external splines. Built to your print as functional masters, they give every spline gage and indicating fixture on your floor a common, traceable reference.

Master gear or setting master-

A master gear provides the mating tooth form for functional checks and for setting indicating equipment. A taper master plug gage is the setting master used to zero spline ring and indicating gages. Which one you need depends on your measuring system — send the drawing and we will confirm the correct reference for your setup.

Standards & setup

Manufactured to ANSI B92.1, ANSI B92.2M, ISO 4156, DIN 5480, and related involute and straight-sided standards, or to your print. Built to order — specify the number of teeth, pitch, pressure angle, class of fit, and whether the spline is internal or external.
