The Fowler X-Tender-E combines a wide-range self-centering bore gage with an electronic indicator, for customers who prefer digital measurement and additional inspection functions.

The electronic indicator provides both numeric and bar-graph displays with direct inch/metric operation, at a resolution of .00005" / 0.001 mm.

Measurement and Operation

Preset capability allows the nominal master size to be entered for direct measurement rather than comparative reading. Minimum hold is particularly useful when rocking the gage through a bore to locate the true diameter, since the display retains the reading at the low point of the sweep.

With ABS/INC measurement plus Min/Max/TIR functions, this is a significant step up from a conventional dial bore gage while remaining simple enough for routine production inspection.

Applications

Well suited to production inspection and quality-control departments measuring internal diameters across the two most commonly required bore ranges, and to any application where evaluating taper or ovality matters as much as the diameter itself.
