Choosing a Configuration
The 36-piece Grade 0 set is the compact professional choice — designed for inspection departments, machine shops and calibration work that needs precision reference standards but not the extensive size selection of an 81-piece system. It is easier to manage and faster to work from when the frequently used dimensions are what matter.
The 81-piece sets provide a very large number of buildable reference dimensions from a single case, well suited to shops and metrology operations working across a wide variety of component sizes. Choose AS-1 for professional dimensional inspection, or Grade 0 for the tighter accuracy demanded by quality-control laboratories that regularly set or verify precision measuring instruments.
Calibration and Traceability
Gage blocks are the reference standards other instruments are set against, so their own calibration status governs the credibility of everything measured with them. WESTport provides ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration to keep a set documented and controlled over its working life.
