Measurement and Operation

The finely ground and lapped base allows smooth movement across a surface plate, while the carbide-tipped scriber provides durability for both measuring and layout work. Preset measurement and floating zero let the operator work from any reference, and the coarse adjustment hand wheel speeds up gross positioning before the fine adjustment is used to land on the measurement.
