Overview
The Starrett SR300 is a full-featured surface roughness measurement system designed for both portable use and more controlled bench-mounted inspection.
Its longer 17.5 mm traverse, extended pickup reach and broad selection of roughness parameters make the SR300 suitable for more demanding inspection than a basic handheld surface tester, at 10 nm resolution across 200, 100 and 10 µm ranges.
Batch Inspection
The system stores up to 100 readings and can be combined with optional fixturing and pickups for repetitive or specialized measurement. That combination — bench mounting, fixturing and on-board storage — is what makes it practical for inspecting a batch of parts rather than taking one-off readings.
Applications
An effective bridge between portable and laboratory measurement: production batch inspection, quality-control laboratories and precision component manufacturing.
