Reversible thread plug gages are used to check the size of internal threads to ensure the threads are within their designed tolerance limits. The reversible plug gage features that when one end becomes worn or damaged, the gage member can be reversed providing exceptional value, essentially two gage members for the price of one.
Reversible thread plug gages are available with GO and/or NOGO plug members. Manufactured in Class X tolerance, 2B or 3B for inch and X tolerance in Class 6H for metric. Chip grooves are standard on both ends of the GO member in sizes # 8 and larger for inch and sizes M5 and larger for metric. This provides a means of cleaning the dirt and other debris from the internal product thread.
All gages are inspected in an environmentally controlled lab and manufactured in full conformance to ASME/ANSI B1. 2, ANSI/ASME B1.16M and/or H28 handbook gage standards. WESTport reversible plug gages are manufactured to the highest end of the ANSI specifications to ensure the longest gage life possible. Reversible style is available up to and including ¾” (19.05mm) in steel and chrome.
WESTport Gage provides a Certificate of Accuracy, traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), free of charge with every plug gage.
