Originally developed specifically for tapping nuts, these taps feature a long chamfer that gradually enters the drilled hole and distributes the cutting load over multiple teeth. This progressive cutting action reduces cutting forces, improves thread quality, and helps extend tool life during continuous production.

Unlike standard machine taps, Nut Taps are engineered with a long thread length, a reduced-diameter shank, and an extended square drive. The reduced shank allows multiple finished nuts to accumulate on the tap after threading without interference, making these tools especially effective in automated and semi-automated production environments. The extended square provides secure driving engagement while improving durability during repetitive manufacturing operations.
