Gooseneck anvils reach into confined areas to test the outside diameter of thin-wall tubing and similar shapes a standard anvil cannot support.
Its contoured neck backs up the tube wall directly at the test point, where thin-wall tubing would otherwise flex or collapse under the major load on a flat or V anvil. Because this is a curved-surface test, readings fall under the ISO 6508-1 convex-cylinder correction guidance. Keep the contact surface clean, undamaged, and rigid, with a minimum hardness of 58 HRC.
