The Mark-10 Series 7 is the top of the force gauge line. It matches the Series 5 on accuracy — ±0.1% of full scale — and doubles the sampling rate to 14,000 Hz, but the real difference is that it records the whole test rather than just the result: up to 5,000 continuous data points captured internally and bulk-downloaded to a PC when the run is finished.

When You Need the Curve, Not the Peak

A peak reading tells you the maximum force. It does not tell you where in the stroke that force occurred, whether there was an earlier local peak, or how the part behaved after it broke. Series 7 adds 1st and 2nd peak detection for two-stage events — a closure that unseats then slides, a connector that detents then seats — and break detection that automatically outputs, saves and zeroes when the sample fails, so an unattended destructive test still produces a clean record.

Data and Automation

USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo Digimatic and analog ±1 VDC outputs cover PC, existing inspection collector and machine integration. Footswitch command strings are programmable, so a repetitive test sequence can be driven hands-free. Units include user-defined units and a coefficient of friction unit for sled testing.

Choosing a Capacity

Accuracy is a percentage of full scale — specify the smallest capacity that comfortably exceeds the largest force expected. Eleven capacities run from 0.12 lbF to 500 lbF. If you need more than 500 lbF, the Series 5 continues to 2,000 lbF at the same ±0.1% accuracy.

Applications

Product development and design validation, tensile and peel testing where the full curve is required, medical device and connector force characterisation, coefficient of friction testing, destructive break testing, laboratory and R&D force measurement.
