Overview

The Phase II Model 900-389 Fully Automatic Twin Rockwell / Superficial Rockwell Hardness Tester is a fully automated hardness testing system designed to perform both Regular Rockwell and Superficial Rockwell hardness testing on a single instrument. The tester incorporates an Auto Z-Axis that automatically raises and lowers the worktable during the testing cycle, minimizing operator involvement and improving testing consistency.

Unlike conventional dead-weight hardness testers, the Model 900-389 utilizes a closed-loop load cell system with motorized force application. A microcomputer-controlled touch screen, automatic loading and unloading, programmable dwell times, USB output, statistical analysis, and automatic hardness conversions make this instrument well suited for quality control laboratories, production environments, and research facilities. Phase II states the Model 900-389 is manufactured utilizing the guidelines of ASTM E18.
