These taps are fluteless except as optionally designed with one or more lubrication grooves. This tap does now cut so it is "chipless". The thread form is lobed so the is a finite number of points contacting the work. THis design provides faster tapping speeds, higher production and high quality threads. Since it generates no chips, it simplifies tapping of blind bottoming holes. Forming Taps (Left or Right Hand)
